Human Rights for China - Public meeting 5.45pm Tuesday 2nd October 2007 With the Olympics in China next year, our focus is on ensuring a that the legacy of the game includes a significant improvement in the human rights of its people. Come and listen to Rebiya Kadeer, an inspirational woman from the Uighur muslim minority from Xinjiang province. The leader of a persecuted people, her family has suffered greatly due to her political activism. Thousands have been imprisoned across the region and freedom of expression severely restricted.
